FLSUN QQ-S Tower Rod Stabilizer
thingiverse
**Update:** I'm running 285mm long arms on my machine (my design) so the 100mm stabilisers work perfectly for me. Since I've gotten reports that people using standard arms have problems with these, I've gone ahead and released a couple of 85mm versions (v7) that you can also find here. But if you use [my arms](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4444539), you should be fine with v5. The FLSUN QQ-S structure is pretty weak, and this is my attempt at making it a bit sturdier. The model simply slides onto the rods and covers the stock rod fasteners at the base of the machine. It keeps the rod together and prevents some of the twisting that could otherwise occur. Of course, it doesn't fix everything, but I believe it's a step in the right direction. The triangular cutouts in the model are primarily decorative, but also serve as a place to hide the layer seam and make the finished models prettier. I used PLA to print mine because it's very rigid, but I'm sure pretty much any material could be used. The design is meant to be a snug fit. Credit also goes to **Dino Kasupovic** because these are inspired by his original design, but reworked from scratch for better fit and functionality. The STEP-file is attached in case you want to make any modifications yourself. Replace the original screws with **M4x10mm** ones and make sure to screw them in from the sides so that you get some extra grip on the rods.
