This is work in progress and is not perfect, requires editing of printer settings. Only do this if you feel confident, this is not fully working and items are changing all the time. Feel free to join in and help out. The carriage is a remix of Martend Baas FLSUN QQ-S Slider / Carriage Magnetic v2 on tinker cad, uses 4 x LM8UU bearings, There are type 1 or type 2 carriages, compare your existing belt join location (left/right) and print 3 off the type you require, if you do print the wrong type you will need to change motor direction either physically or in configuration. The Head assembly bolts into the existing joint threads to minimize head modifications from standard. Carriage printed at 40% infill all other parts printed solid Balls 10mm x m4 from Makers Hut Magnets 15 x 10 6mm hole countersunk from ebay (not sure about these) Bearings LM8UU from oooznest Carbon fiber from Easy Composites Ltd 6mm (4mm) Woven Finish Roll Wrapped Carbon Fibre Tube https://www.easycomposites.co.uk/6mm-woven-finish-carbon-fibre-tube Tubes cut to 260mm, 20mm M4 grub screws were thread locked into balls and then JB weld was used to attach to rod using a makeshift jig as shown in picture so set all at a constant length. i then cut remade them to 240mm but should have kept them at 260mm. Issues. 1..Had to reduce print bed size as the magnets like the bearing rails to much and cause head to jackknife. 2..Added small grub screws M5 into center of magnet, this makes magnetic grip a factor of 3 or 4 more powerful but improvements still to be made. 3..tweeks in configs and design. 4..Tab at back of carriage needs to be removed by knife to fit retaining plate, will re-edit stl Latest Changes Parts ordered to make arms 280mm as standard Steel pins ordered to replace gub screws in centre of magnets Extra magnets ordered to make balls also magnetic for extra joint grip Current Condition Working with successful prints, X & Y Dimensions are out, some decoupling noted but snapped back in within seconds. 28/07/2021 Update to config file for 250mm arms to fix X &Y 01/08/2021 1....Used 5mm x 10mm steel dowels this has increased the magnetic grip more. 2....Changed Arms to 280mm, this has improved long reach stability but has removed 10mm from bed height, think the ideal will be in-between the 2 sizes i tried but I'm happy with the 10mm loss of height. 3....Added construct.txt 29/08/2021 Been working flawless since last update
