FLSun Q5 hotend fan support structure
thingiverse
Since the Q5 has an unusually heavy effector, primarily built from sturdy bent steel plates, I decided to make it significantly lighter by reconfiguring certain parts that have no structural significance. Firstly, the part cooling fan nozzle, and now the fan support, are being redesigned. This redesign will directly replace the metal support surrounding the heat sink with a much lighter (a great deal lighter) effector. The lighter the effector becomes, the faster and more precise a delta printer will operate. A lower weight means reduced stress on belts, motors, and pulleys, less momentum to counteract, fewer vibrations, and more accurate movements.
