I encountered an issue with my extruder's Teflon tube, prompting me to switch from Bowden to Direct extrusion right away. I'm currently waiting for replacement parts to arrive so I can repair and disassemble my makeshift extruder setup. To my surprise, the 3D printer continues to operate flawlessly in the meantime. After some trial and error, I finally designed a functional filament holder that works seamlessly with a standard 1/2" tube. The material requirements for this design are minimal, and its compact size allows it to be conveniently located at the top of the printer.
