Work in progress. My FLSUN i3 Plus became unmanageable after adding Raspberry Pi, Mosfets, and TL Smoothers. I aimed to enclose all electronics within a single unit while keeping them cool. To achieve this, I installed a 120mm 12v fan on one side of the box, which runs at 5v from the MKS Gen L, opposite a grill at the other end. Each of the four sides holds electronic components securely. PC case screws secure all electronics boards, while zip ties hold the sides and fan in place. I drilled holes into the Raspberry Pi side to enable mounting on the extrusion if needed. Additionally, I filleted the mounting risers to prevent them from breaking, as experienced with other models. Notches and tabs were also added for precise alignment. My LED light strips are powered by the Raspberry Pi's USB port, while the Raspberry Pi itself is powered by a 12 PSU via a buck converter set at 5.2v. Cable management remains a concern; I plan to adjust as more angled USB cables become available. The enclosure is quite cramped, so extending the boards may be necessary if needed, but for now, we'll see how it performs in use. I'm happy to adapt models for anyone requiring different boards or configurations.
