Human: Flsun I3 Fanged X Carriage None of the carriages I found perfectly fit my needs. They had design elements I liked and ones I didn't like. So, after searching and trying, I combined them in one place. The flsun i3 comes with a SN04 & V5 hot-end. Everyone seems to have BL-touch or the round probe and V6's... so far, I've found no reason to replace either. Why not leave the sensor on the fang? X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 0 Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -38 On the fang it is 10 and 46. The larger these distances are, the less you can probe the bed and more importantly the further from center you will home Z, making finding the z-offset difficult. Why the fang? I tried to use the 3 wheel's original fan and it doesn't put the air in the right place. Overhangs were terrible. If you stick a glass under the fang you'll see it puts a bubble of air right below the nozzle. What about the 4020 blower fan or 4040 fans? I printed a fang for the 4020, edited the file in blender and I came to find it didn't move enough air.. it was very quiet though. I've yet to find a 4040 fang that works well. The ball bearing fans I have are loud but 10x better than the blowers. Even the well-rated Amazon 5015 seems weak. Do I need any special hardware? Most parts I had were left over from the kit. M3 screws and they don't have to be self-tapping. If you can't get them in straight, print a couple and don't over tighten. The hardest ones to find were the ones for 3rd wheel holder. I think they are M4x20. If you flip it over you can use longer philips M4's. So that's it so far. Thanks to everyone who made the models. This printer would be nothing without you.
