Finally a filament spool holder designed for horizontal mounting of the spool, allowing you to avoid increasing the already considerable height of this printer. The result is a cleaner and more attractive setup. This versatile holder consists of four printed parts that also include additional clamps for realigning the cable tree outside the printer. Before starting, it's recommended to print all necessary parts first, as well as 4-8 cable clamps in any case. Begin by detaching the original holder and unscrewing the cable tree plugs from the top of the printer. Completely remove the cable and reconnect it somewhere outside the printer. Run the cable along one of the outside vertical arms, then along the side of the top plate, and finally down a third of the way along another arm. Use the printed clamps to form a U-shaped slope upside-down. To achieve this, you might need to remove some plastic cable straps attached to the cable tree and filament pipe. Don't remove all of them, just the top ones. Check the pictures for more detailed instructions. Next, use the top center hole to plug in the printed pin by simply clipping it in. Slide the big spool over it, then clip the small spools into their holders on the downside of the filament plate. Try spinning them by hand a little to get them used to their new home. You can also apply oil or grease to make them spin more smoothly. Now, turn the base plate around and slide it over the big spool with the small spools pointing down. Add your filament spool and start printing. You might want to rescale or reconstruct the top cylinder to match the diameter of your preferred filament spools. The supplied one is designed for common filament spools, especially Redline Filament. If you prefer a different diameter, simply construct a new cylinder with the desired dimensions and merge it on top of a lower plate middle hole that's 55mm in diameter and 8mm high. Drill a virtual hole into the cylinder at the downside with a 23.5mm diameter and 32mm height to match the connecting pin. That's it! Enjoy your new setup!
