Flowing Lampshade
thingiverse
The 'Flowing Lampshade' is the first of three in the 'Dynamic Twist' collection, showcasing 3D printing's ability to create complex forms with overhangs that defy traditional mass manufacture methods. This collection highlights the capabilities of 3D printing to produce dynamic forms that were previously impossible to create in one piece. This product has been designed specifically for an E27 lamp-holder with a 40mm diameter. If you're unable to find this type of holder, please let us know and we'll provide an adapter plate or modify the design accordingly. The 'Flowing Lampshade' was printed using pearl white PLA on an Ultimaker printer. After extensive testing over two months with a 13W light bulb, there has been no deformation of the PLA. However, if you choose to use PLA, we recommend keeping the wattage below 13W due to the enclosed design. To replicate this design, you'll need an Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer and a 0.6mm nozzle (though other nozzle sizes like 0.25mm, 0.4mm, or 0.8mm can also be used). We're eager to see your prints!
