Flower Windmill

pinshape

We've just completed our Flower Windmill design, and it's now ready for download and printing at home. We're excited to see the finished flowers spinning away in gardens everywhere, so be sure to share your pictures with us. If you enjoy what we do, please follow us on Thingiverse and social media - we have plenty more exciting projects coming up in the next few months. All our windmills were printed using Pongo Filaments, which are available at www.pongostore.com. Supports are only needed for stem parts, with all other sections printing fine without supports or rafts. However, we recommend using rafts for ease of removal and a perfect first layer. Keep in mind that the orientation of petals on the bed affects their flexibility based on your chosen resolution. The 0.6mm thick petals will have three layers at 0.2 resolution, but the direction of layers printed by software and machine can affect rigidity. We'd love to see what colors you print your windmills in - please share your finished prints with us! If your printer has good accuracy, parts should fit together snugly, but the central petal joint assembly may require glue due to pressure. If you're experiencing issues with assembly, don't hesitate to get in touch - we'll be happy to help answer any questions.
