Flower Test Carve
thingiverse
Little test project I created to put my new X-Carve through its paces. It turned out fantastic. Designed entirely within Fusion360, I utilized MeshCAM for generating the gcode files required for the operation. The initial roughing pass employed a 1/4" Endmill, while both finishing and waterline passes relied on a 1/8" Ballnose cutter. The programmed feedrate in the gcode was set at 100in/min for roughing and 50in/min for finishing, but I decided to override these settings using Easel's feedrate feature. This allowed me to run at 160in/min during the roughing pass and 100in/min during finishing without encountering any issues, thanks to my trusty Dewalt 611 router. Since the material was simply a scrap piece of pine from Home Depot, I felt confident in pushing the limits of this operation.
