Flower Signs on stems, as pins, as magnets
thingiverse
I recently designed road signs available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:298565 and a post and bracket system at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:298560 for display purposes. However, as I was printing the signs, an idea struck me; the post resembled a stem, the bracket a calyx, and the road signs could be transformed into flower heads. Thus, I present to you modular flower arrangements! The flower heads can also be used with pin backs, tie tack backs or magnets, while the calyx/bracket is versatile too - just glue it on the back. There are several styles of leaves and buds available as 'greenery', and the blazing star comes in two options: complete in one file or separate petals with a center. I printed these using PLA filament, with 0.2 mm layers for everything except the stem, which required 0.3 mm layers. The stem benefited from 3 shells and only 15% infill to achieve a balance of strength and appearance.
