Flower Pot (with Hidden Drain Holes & Water tray)
thingiverse
I really appreciate AndresQuijas's flower pot, but there's one major flaw - no drain holes on the bottom, which means the roots are at risk of rotting. To fix this issue without ruining the beautiful design, you could add some hidden drainage holes to prevent water from accumulating and causing problems. However, a simpler solution is to modify the original design with added holes and a gently sloping bottom for each section. This way, excess water will flow out, and the roots won't be affected. The removable slab in this design is another great feature - it allows you to easily clean the central gutter when needed. And, if you're feeling ambitious, there's also an idea to transform this design into a self-watering model. Maybe that's something I'll tackle soon!
