I obtained a flower STL file from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1227912. I remixed the flower with Parametric Light Fixture Lens Cover for Overhead Lights, which can be found in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avVNfIswkMU under the PART section. I imported both STL files into FreeCAD software and created a shape from mesh for each of them. Next, I used advanced utilities to create a solid shape for both designs. I moved the flower to sit on top of the lens and then selected the lens followed by the flower. Finally, I clicked "Make a cut" to separate the two shapes, and saved my changes.
