Flower Iris Box V2

Flower Iris Box V2

thingiverse

This is my revised iris box design, the Flower Iris Box. I've updated this design as with all my other designs to use countersunk screws instead of 3D printed pins making it much easier to print and assemble. The box opens by twisting the collar counterclockwise. No supports are needed for this design. I originally posted this on MyMiniFactory in mid-2018 and I've now also posted it here. You can find my other iris boxes on my design page: https://www.thingiverse.com/BrienAllison/designs including a variation on this design, the Double Flower Iris Box: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3665826. You can also check out my designs on my MyMiniFactory page: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/Brien%20Allison. The standard size box is about 80mm tall and 80mm in diameter with a 62mm container opening. I've also designed a taller container that's around 190mm tall, perfect for storing pens and pencils. The part files are made for M2x6 countersunk/flathead screws (as with all my designs using screws); 24 screws are needed in total for the box. You can scale the parts to use larger or smaller screws like M3x8 at a 150% scale. Note that buying the screws in bulk from a specialist supplier is much cheaper.
