Go to https://www.designuitinspiratie.nl/flowing-vase2/ for a fresh and improved version on my own website. This is the Flow Vase, made in a flowing style that I'm proud of. The idea is to print it in "vase mode" or "spiral outer contour mode", which helps create a smooth and continuous shape. I printed the blue PLA one with an extra stretch in the Z direction to make it easier for the FDM printer to close the gaps, especially when using Vase Mode. In contrast, the Orange ABS one was printed normally but without infill or top layers. I set the wall count to 2 layers, and with a nozzle size of 0.4 mm, this resulted in walls that are 0.8 mm thick. This approach was an experiment to make it easier for the FDM printer to close the walls without over-stretching the object in the Z direction. However, I encountered some stringing issues during printing, so I still prefer the "vase mode" option. For those who want to try printing this model with ease, I've prepared three different versions: "flow vase2.stl", "flow vase3.stl", and "flow vase.stl". Simply print "flow vase2.stl" or "flow vase3.stl" for the easiest experience. If you prefer a slightly more challenging print, try stretching out the Z axis to 160% when printing "flow vase.stl".
