Our design relies on an autoclavable PEEK pipe to supply a breath directly to the patient. Hardware components comprise a microcontroller, DC motor, flow sensor, unidirectional valves, ventilator filter, and Y-connector. Individual parts that require sterilization can be precision-milled or laser-cut from PEEK plastic. Meanwhile, components not subject to sterilization can be produced via 3D printing.
