Flow - the universal tap adapter
pinshape
This product was designed specifically for individuals suffering from dupuytren's contracture, aiming to simplify everyday tasks. The ingenious design transforms a challenging tap that demands precise manipulation into one that can be effortlessly operated with a simple push or pull using a closed fist, thereby significantly reducing the dexterity required. The installation process is remarkably straightforward; users simply slide the device onto the existing tap, where two sturdy arms securely grasp it via a textured surface. Initially, however, the design didn't provide sufficient grip to turn the tap, prompting the introduction of a strip of blue tack on the ribbed surface to enhance its hold (in this instance, rubber was unavailable, but both materials should yield similar results). Rather than replacing all taps in one's home, Flow offers a cost-effective solution that can be easily attached to taps of various diameters. Alternatively, if 3D printed, the design can be swiftly adjusted to accommodate your specific tap configuration. The product's functionality is demonstrated in the accompanying video.
