Flow Rate/Extrusion Multiplier Test Tower
thingiverse
I created this test object to calibrate my flow rate/extrusion multiplier. I'm too lazy and impatient to print a bunch of cubes to figure it out. All you do is load the gcode into Pronterface (or similar program) and print. As the tower prints it adjusts the flow rate/extrusion multiplier to match the percentage printed on the tower. Use your calipers and measure the wall sections. The wall thickness is 0.96mm. As an example, you measure at 100 and you get 1.05mm. Then you measure at 95 and you get 0.95mm. This would mean that your flow rate/extrusion multiplier is about 97. The temps are preset at 220C for the nozzle and 60C for the bed. The speed is preset at 70mm. Adjust these in you printers interface to fit your needs. This is for a 0.4mm nozzle only. The stl is printable but only at the setting your slicer uses.
