Flourish and Blots 1/35 scale storefront
thingiverse
I'm working on a Harry Potter themed book nook as a gift for someone, and it's coming along great so far. It's not perfect yet, but I'm really excited about the progress we've made, especially since we plan to hand-paint everything and add shingles and decals manually to give it that extra special touch. Everything in this project is scaled down to 1/35th size, which makes it look really cool and unique. We're using a AnyCubic Mega Zero printer for the job, and I'm pleased with how it's turning out so far. Here are the print settings we've used: Printer: AnyCubic Mega Zero Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm layer height Infill: 15% Filament brand: Longer Filament color: Any Filament material: PLA For this project, we're using a scaled-down version of the standard Harry Potter book dimensions, set to 90.5% of the exact size so it fits perfectly within the confines of the book's dimensions. We've also used Cura auto-supports, which worked really well for us, but you can definitely go crazy and manually add supports if you want to. All the models are oriented flat to the build plate, giving us a top-down view of the storefront. I didn't have any issues with build plate adhesion, making it easy to remove the printed parts from the plate. You can see more of my work on Twitch.tv/metalandmana or at www.metalandmana.weebly.com.
