Flossing Tool

thingiverse

This easy-to-print flossing tool is angled downward for effortless access to your back teeth. Each use requires about 8 inches of floss. **Printing** Built-in supports are integrated into this model, so make sure to disable your slicer's support option. To achieve proper printing results with the built-in supports and small gaps, set your layer thickness exactly at 0.2mm. A line width of 0.4 inches is ideal for efficient printing. This tool is printed using PLA. For optimal performance, we recommend using clear (unpigmented) PLA to avoid potential issues with potentially harmful pigments. **Post Printing** A tiny one-layer support is embedded in the notches at the end of the fork. Remove this support by carefully cleaning it out with a razor blade or Xacto knife. To load the floss, start by creating a single wrap through the side notches. Then thread the floss through the channel in the fork and back to the handle, wrapping it an additional one or two times through the side notches.
