Florence Cathedral
myminifactory
Welcome to Florence, Italy! The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, commonly known as "The Duomo," stands out as one of the most awe-inspiring churches in Italy and globally. Its construction began in 1296 in Gothic style and was completed in 1436 with a dome engineered by Filippo Brunelleschi, a breathtaking masterpiece of architecture that is now a renowned landmark worldwide. Due to its enormous size and intricate details, this project was extremely ambitious and took over a century to complete, resulting in multiple architectural styles as time passed. The Gothic Revival style can be seen in the façade, buttresses, and interior, while the cathedral also showcases early features of what would become the Renaissance style, reflecting the desire of later architects to break away from Gothic architecture. Along with the Campanile and Baptistery, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. MiniWorld 3D is thrilled to bring this historic model to life!
