Floppy Fish

A fish model that assembles from a single piece comes together seamlessly thanks to its ball and socket design, which functions flawlessly when properly assembled. The Ultimaker 2 print settings, modified with Meshmixer support adjustments, contribute significantly to the successful creation of this complex joint structure. With precise settings applied via Ultimaker Cura - including the usage of a 0.8 mm thickness for the walls and twenty percent infill, raft construction with supports suppressed, we're able to replicate intricate connections between components. A meshmixed model is chosen to refine print specifics, resulting in optimal ball joint looseness which facilitates free movement within sockets. Despite its inherent flexibility, the fish design does not lose form due to loose ball joints which maintain position securely without detaching.
