We construct a straightforward flooring area. This includes leveling the surface and installing underlayment, typically plywood. Then we lay down tongue-and-groove boards across the room at 45-degree angles. After securing each section to the adjacent one with nails or screws, additional planks are placed on top of these installed floorboards at an alternate direction for a grid pattern effect. Finally, our simple floor is ready for its finished look by adding the appropriate flooring type, such as tile or hardwood.
