Floor Sconce
thingiverse
I designed this sleek candle floor sconce for tabletop war gaming enthusiasts. Measuring 7cm tall and 3.5cm wide, it's perfect for adding a dramatic touch to your game nights. To create this unique piece, you'll need a few simple materials: a paperclip, a thin insulated wire, a 2032 coin cell battery, and a 3mm flickering LED light. You can easily find these components on Amazon.com. To begin, cut the negative lead of the LED to approximately 5mm in length and solder it to the thin insulated wire. Next, straighten a small paperclip and attach it to the positive leg of the LED using solder. Carefully thread the wires through the candle and secure the LED inside with superglue. Once the LED is firmly in place, feed the wires through the sconce until they emerge from the middle of the base. Then, attach the candle to the sconce using superglue. Trim the negative lead so that it protrudes about 5mm from the base and strip the end of the wire. Fold the stripped end over to create a secure connection. To complete the assembly, carefully bend the paperclip into a 90-degree angle and insert it into the slot. Bend the paperclip up another 90 degrees at the side and trim it flush with the base. To ensure a strong bond, fill the slot with superglue and add some baking soda to instantly cure the adhesive and insulate it from the negative wire. If your 2032 coin cell battery doesn't fit snugly into the hole, simply trim the edge slightly to achieve a secure fit without being too tight. Finally, bend the end of the paperclip inward so that it touches the edge of the battery when inserted, creating a reliable electrical connection.
