Floodlight Mounting Plates

These mounting plates are designed for use with 10 or 20w floodlights, one for attaching the lights to my gutter and another that may fit YOUR gutter depending on its dimensions. Measure carefully before printing to ensure a proper fit and make adjustments as needed. You're free to modify the design to suit your specific gutter requirements, but please respect the license agreement and don't redistribute it. The peg sticking up fits 1/2" PVC and requires cutting a short leg, about 3", depending on the desired level of the plate. Print at least one PVC bolt bushing per floodlight, I printed two, which are inserted into the end of a section of PVC pipe. The length of this pipe is determined by your installation situation. The PVC mounting plate is sized to fit 1/2" sch40 PVC pipe and has a depth similar to other standard PVC fittings, allowing for easy attachment using a standard 1-1/2" piece of pipe. I recommend drilling a hole for a machine screw (I used #6x5/8" construction screws from Home Depot) in the flat base of the pipe mount. Insert the coupling pipe into the printed piece after drilling the screw hole, then drive a screw through the hole and into the coupling PVC to prevent rotation. Both the gutter and the pipe mount accept standard 1/4" hex head bolts, which are widely available at hardware stores. I also recommend purchasing two 1-1/2" 1/4" washers per floodlight and a 1/4" wingnut for attaching the lights to either of the mounting plates. Use two washers, one below and one above the light frame, to ensure smooth adjustments without wear on the plastic. This setup will provide a secure and adjustable attachment system for your floodlights.
