Our latest acquisition includes a Flomax Model 8 centrifugal pump, specifically the FM8AI-4.60-10Y36CT-145TC variant. The Solidworks file was created based on dimensions provided by Flomax. This particular model showcases the liquid end without the electric motor. It features an angled housing with a built-in flapper valve, enabling self-priming capabilities. The Model 8 is compatible with three different electric motor frame sizes: 56C, 143TC, and 145TC. Configurations for all three motor options are available in the design. Notably, these motors share the same bolt mounting circle. The electric motor itself isn't included as they can easily be found on websites like WEG Motors. It's essential to note that motor length variations exist across manufacturers within the same NEMA/IEC frame sizes. Consequently, the overall footprint of your pump and motor combination may differ based on where you source your motors. Alternatively, the Flomax pump is available with a pedestal for operation using gasoline or diesel engines or power take-off shafts from tractors.
