Floatplane Wooden Toy
grabcad
The "Wood Magazine" issue 127 in October 2000 features an impressive wooden toy, crafted from layers of different woods for a stunning appearance. I have updated my tutorials recently, including guides on creating Reuleaux triangles with Solidworks, working with constant width solids using the same software, and modeling a project with Solidworks 2016. Rendering was done with Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition, while frames were edited in Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP files. MyMP4BoxGui was used to remux the video into MP4 format, and Gifs were created using PhotoScape. IrfanView was employed for editing renderings. The model is available in various formats, including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 8, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF, and FBX, with the 3D-PDF and SIMLAB files featuring animations.
