Floating Z-Axis mount for miniature ball screw for Sidewinder X1
thingiverse
Floating/anti-wobble mount engineered to fit miniature ball screw nuts and eliminate Z wobble or Z banding. The Evnovo/Artillery Sidewinder X1 comes with a similar mount designed for standard T8 lead screws. I replaced both screws with a TBI 0802 miniature ball screw, which should fit the majority of miniature ball screw nuts from TBI, Hiwin, THK, or NSK, as the standard 0801/0802 nut shares the same dimensions. The screw holes are designed to fit those on the blue brackets of the SWX1 X-Axis carriage like the originals. Make sure surfaces are clean, tidy, and smooth after printing. Spray the two parts with lubricant, such as WD40 Dry Lube PTFE spray. The anti-rotation arm of the adapter should smoothly slide in and out of the slot in the housing without friction or catching, but there should be no sideways play in the slot. Remember to keep the ball screw nut from rotating off the ends of the screw while installing; otherwise, you'll lose all your balls.
