Floating Pinion Demonstrator is a compact device engineered to test and showcase a floating pinion gear drive train. The pinion typically rests below the rear gear and knob, allowing the rear gear and knob to spin freely. When the front gear and knob is turned clockwise, the pinion rotates into contact with the rear gear and knob, causing the rear gear and knob to rotate. As soon as the front gear and knob stops turning, the pinion returns to its parked position while the rear gear and knob continue spinning freely.
