The original endstops never caused me any issues. The kit includes an upper rod holder with an extension for push button endstops. I obtained the measurements from the Eventorbot 1.2 Sketchup files available on reprap.org. Additionally, remember to attach something to the carriage in order to reach the endstop; for the next iteration, I plan to incorporate this addition myself.
