Floating LED Photo Frame

Floating LED Photo Frame

Summary Remixed the photo frame by integrating it with backlit LEDs; Depending on your preference, you can use one LED in the center or two on either side. The entire assembly should fit together smoothly, although some sanding may be needed to secure the PLA parts. Printing without support is recommended. You can glue the LED bridge to the frame if necessary to prevent it from expanding outward. To use two LEDs: Insert them onto the LED bridge, positioning one to the left and one to the right of the battery, ensuring correct polarity, then apply a cap with sufficient pressure and turn it on. Alternatively, insert the LEDs into the side bar and interweave them with the CR2025/CR2032 battery; then insert the cap to activate the LEDs. This setup allows you to slide out the LED bridge for easier shutdown or swapping of LED colors. The LED leads are long enough that no additional wiring is required unless the LEDs are placed on the side bar's outermost edge. A single battery should last up to 2-3 weeks; however, orange and red LEDs may require a resistor due to their power consumption. This design is intended for an always-on gallery or showcase installation, where a switch would be ideal, although this might necessitate soldering and/or redesign of the base or cap.
