Floating head for plasma torch
thingiverse
These are printed parts for a floating head mechanism that houses a plasma torch. To fully assemble this device, you will require: * Printed parts (main component, top and bottom holders) * Four standard 15mm outer diameter ball bearings with an inner diameter of 8mm * Two rods measuring 8mm in diameter * Ten M5 bolts each measuring 30 or 35mm in length * Ten additional M5 bolts * Four SK8 lead screw linear axis brackets * Two small springs * A mounting plate made from a material stronger than plastic This mechanism is designed to hold a standard 35mm diameter 'machine' style plasma torch. Please note that the holes for the ball bearings are intentionally tight and may require slight modification using a rubber hammer or sanding of the inner walls. A necessary component is an endstop, which must be mounted nearby in order to complete the assembly of this mechanism.
