I love supports, they're amazing! I adore printing large floating objects with a sea of supports surrounding them. It's a game-changer. Plus, this way you can print the bases out of one material and the center piece out of fantastic-ness, saving on your awesome-budget in the process. Some of those FX materials can be pricey, but why paint over the "good stuff" any more than you have to? Make sure to follow the links back and thank the folks who came up with it originally; this is a great prop design. Thanks to Tristan and Aaron for their assistance with the file cutting. I've included the STL files, so print one of each to make a set. I also included the dedicated files to print it on a Flashforge Dreamer out of one material as well. Once I dial it in a bit more, I'll include the files to do a dual-material print on the Dreamer, so you can make them all in one print cycle. Note that these files were sliced specifically for the Dreamer; use at your own risk on other Flashforge products. Use the STL files in your specific slicer for your specific printer!
