Human: This is an example project 1 of 3 for my high school 3D Design and Modeling class. Class Overview This is a 10 week course where students learn the basics of 3D Design and Modeling while navigating through the Design Process. Based on Experiential Education, students delve into the significance of fishing to our area, which fish inhabit our waters, what they eat and are attracted to, types of freshwater fishing lures that exist, and how they function. The course concludes with a full day fishing trip where students get to test out their fishing lures. You will find the rubric used to grade the project attached. Students were assessed using the ISTE standards. Lure 1 This first project focuses on creating a fishing lure that will remain buoyant on top of or near the surface of the water. Students had to select a type of lure they would model their lure after and identify what type of fish they had in mind while designing. They also had to explore physics principles governing what makes things float. Notes This is my first design, which, although floats, tends to tip on its sides due to its excessive belly size.
