Floating Clock
thingiverse
Wall mounted floating number clock. This design lets you expand/contract the size of the clock when mounting it.\r\nI took another user's design, modified it significantly and remade most STLs from scratch. It now works with a readily available USA core clock unit, and I split up and resized numbers so they are uniform (cardinal numbers larger) to fit onto a smaller build plate. I didn't use the printed second/minute/hour hand included here for completeness. Instead, I used aluminum hands that came with the clock core.\r\n\r\nYou will need:\r\n(1) Clock core: Buy one on Amazon at https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B06XP7PRP3/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U__riTgCbE5ZWDPY\r\n(2) AA battery\r\n\r\nThe clock core is 55 x 55 x 16 mm in size, and the shaft is approximately 5/16". If you want to use a different clock core.\r\n\r\nI assembled the clock core into the top section, added hands, inserted the battery, set the time, and then pressed the back onto the core assembly. It fits snugly and stays in place from friction. I applied double-sided 3M tape to the back of all pieces and stuck them to the wall (after marking their desired position). You can use a piece of string to make sure everything is equidistant.
