Float Level switch
thingiverse
I was compelled to convert my toilet in the Western Cape, South Africa, to operate on a greywater system due to the current drought. To accomplish this, I designed a submersible pump controller featuring a float switch located within the toilet cistern that activates the pump when necessary. The standard reed switch from an alarm system serves as the trigger inside the housing. A small magnet positioned within the trigger arm is required to activate the reed sensor. To seal the entire switch cavity and prevent moisture intrusion, either silicon or hot glue can be used. Additionally, a 1/2'' irrigation nylon nut must be glued onto the end for mounting purposes. This float level switch has numerous applications.
