Here is the float bowl cover for late 1960's Mercury outboards. The part is no longer made, so I had to create this one from a broken original. That said, I haven't printed this yet, but I will soon since I need one now. I've already noted a few minor adjustments that are needed. Measurements will be checked once the part is done, and I'll provide an update as soon as it's ready. Update: The part printed well, with only a few out-of-spec measurements that I believe I've remedied. It fits the motor perfectly and all parts needing to be screwed in thread themselves without issue. However, I did need to thicken the walls of the cone on top of the part and make a few other small adjustments. I'm confident this will be a completed part by the end of today - 10/10/18. Photos are of the first print, not the final version, but as you can see, it went well. I hope to have the completed file here with photos of completion soon. Update: The part has been fixed and uploaded photos will follow shortly. Print settings were as follows: Wall thickness: 1.0 Infill at 89% with Grid pattern Nozzle temperature: 205°C Bed temperature: 60°C Speed: 50 mm/s Supports touching the build plate Overhang: 69 Build plate adhesion requires Brim for the part to stick in upright orientation. I printed this using an Ender 3 with Paramount PLA filament. All threads are self-tapping plastic and should hold well, but I suggest using ABS or better for actual application. By printing and using this part, you agree that you take full responsibility and release me of all liability.
