FliteTest G44 Widgeon wing float & strut
thingiverse
This is a replacement wing float for the FliteTest Grumman Widgeon. I broke off one of the struts on a hard landing and found out there are no replacements. So here it is. It's not an exact copy. It's a little rough and heavier than the original. But it works and looks pretty good. Finishing is optional. I used TinkerCad because I'm lazy. I'm sure someone can do a better model with a little more effort. It can be printed as the whole strut & float unit with minimal supports or the strut and float can be printed separately and assembled. Printing the strut & float as one unit makes the lightest combination. I use 8% fill and try to keep the walls thin (2-3 layers).
