Flite Test Mighty Mini Power Pods
thingiverse
I decided to design my own alternatives after seeing other options that didn't quite meet my standards for various reasons. This new power pod replaces the stock mini version typically made from foam board and a firewall piece, which are then glued and taped together. The 3D printed versions weigh slightly more than the standard pods, so weight balancing will need to be recalculated. There are two variations: one with an 1806 motor (Flight Test rotary "A" type) and another with a 2206 motor (Flight Test rotary "F" type). While they're quite durable, these power pods aren't designed to withstand severe impacts or nose dives. However, being made of 3D printed material means you can easily reprint them if needed. After testing in various Flite Test planes, these custom power pods have shown promising results so far.
