Flipsky dual VESC 6.6 case / skateboard top mount
thingiverse
This is a top mount case designed specifically for the Flipsky dual VESC 6.6. The esc sits face up with ample space underneath for air flow - no vents are present on the case yet. Power leads face forward, pointing toward my foot, and I was able to easily route them up through the foot strap to the battery pack mounted in the middle of the board. Motor wires must make a 90 degree turn to exit the rear of the case but there's enough room for them to comfortably make that turn without excessive stress on them. I secured the lid to the body with four #4 x 7/8" flat head wood screws. This project is still in progress - I didn't include the Bluetooth module in my build, so I didn't make room for it in the case. I also plan to add a 5V output for accessories like hard-wired head and tail lights. I printed this case in PETG for durability and better heat tolerance than PLA. If it doesn't hold up, I'll need to switch to ABS.
