27/03/2020 Rev5 The latest updates make it easier to print the shield and apply the sheet. 26/03/2020 Rev4 Four test prints were made, each with an evolution of the shield. - The clip and release system are now more solid and easy to use - Optimized structure EN Before I describe this, I invite you to my Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/giga_3d/?hl=en where you can stay updated on the latest changes in the mask and my future designs. This is a prototype created with the advice of my brother who is currently part of the team of doctors supporting COVID19 patients at the hospital in Partinico, (PA), Sicily. The design was started from the sectional view of an average human skull with a circumference of 560mm. The rear hooks allow for elastic application and automatic tightening of the rods. The front clip ensures safe removal and prevents contamination of the exposed part. The A4 sheet fixing system is designed in one piece with the supporting structure and opens by sliding the flap upwards. The upper holes provide correct ventilation to prevent fogging problems. The shield is still a prototype under development, and an updated version will be available soon.
