Flipper Knife
thingiverse
This is a folding knife design I've created in OnShape, which flips open and locks smoothly. I designed the knife to accommodate tolerances ranging from 0.02 to 0.03 inches, depending on the location. If these tolerances prove too tight, simply sand down the pins with sandpaper or scale up the model slightly. I highly recommend that you share your results if you decide to print this design, and feel free to post comments if you spot areas for improvement. To enhance the lock mechanism, I've added a thicker lockbar along with a revised handle featuring a deeper groove for secure engagement. Additionally, I've included the option for inserts, allowing you to add a contrasting color to the handle.
