Flippe Tops

This is an innovative kind of tippe top that continuously flips over and over again. On the exterior, it resembles a sphere; however, inside, there is a ball bearing that is free to move upward or downward in a cylindrical channel. The ball bearing gives the top an irregular weight distribution, resulting in its unusual behavior. When you spin the top, the ball bearing initially occupies its lowest position. As it spins, this tippe top wants to invert (flip over) so that its center of gravity is above the point of rotation. However, when this occurs, the ball bearing drops down, and the cycle repeats. It's not challenging to achieve 5-8 flips of this top as it slows down, as demonstrated in the videos. Due to its spherical shape, it's not immediately apparent when this top flips over. It is manufactured from two halves; I recommend using two contrasting colors so that the flips are evident. This tippe top comes in three different sizes, and I suggest printing the small size first. You will need to purchase a 3/8" diameter ball bearing for the small size top. Ask at a hardware store if they sell individual ball bearings. https://youtu.be/aO6ZofZ5dos https://youtu.be/3E_Ffhsj5mI
