A protective enclosure has been created for the Sanguinololu circuit board of my Solidoodle 2, which keeps all wires neatly contained. This enclosure flips open for easy access to the top of the board and features space for mounting a 12V 40mm fan in its cover. To install it, print both pieces with support enabled, clean them, and if possible, tap m3 threads into the cover hinge pivots; otherwise, adjust the hole size for a tight fit. Carefully remove the circuit board from the rear of the printer, attach a header for a fan (if desired), then remount the board on top of the base piece using m3 screws. Attach the base piece to the cover at the hinge points with m3 screws as well. Finally, screw a 40mm fan into the cover and connect it either to an available 12V header in the board or splice it into the existing case-light or extruder cooling fan lines.
