Flip snoot for Ikelite DS-160
thingiverse
Flip snoot for Ikelite DS-160 or 161 is a precise fit, requiring some grinding to secure it properly. A snug fit necessitates a bit of work to get it just right. To prevent light from spreading through the plastic, you may need to paint it afterwards with black spray paint, as shown in the top picture. Support for small holes is optional, but I used it to ensure a smooth print. You can also choose to print without support if you prefer. A small rubber band attached to the hole in the cross keeps the flip snoot in position, as seen in the white snoot picture of a previous model. For optimal results, consider gluing a diffuser inside the snoot to distribute light evenly. I printed this design in ABS 0.3 mm, prioritizing speed over finish for this specific item. The design was created freely using 123Design, with no consideration given to optimal light settings.
