Flip-out Coat Hook
thingiverse
Flip down the hook to hang your coat or hook a clothes hanger over it. It seems suitable for your laundry room or near your ironing board. You can also use it at work, flipping it down to hold your coat during colder weather. Probably good for storing your headphones when you're not using them too, your VR headset included. This started life as a door stop for a sliding door, but I realized it would work nicely as a flip-out-of-the-way coat hook too. A couple of changes seemed like nice additions to emphasize the hook part and perhaps retain a hanger better if you were to hang a shirt or jacket on it. I think there are likely some other flip-down-to-use applications that we could remix this little guy into. Any ideas? Printer: MP Select Mini Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 30% This is pretty forgiving if you need to use a lower resolution or less infill. Clean it up with some sandpaper along the edges, smooth out the pivot-pins, and you're good to go. Open and close a few times. I've found that this bump-plus-detent retention approach smooths out with use pretty well, so perhaps let it work itself in rather than taking too much material away with sandpaper early and having it a bit loose later on. (My print tests were using PLA)
