Flip Flyer
thingiverse
This is a DIY remix of Estes Flip Flyer, crafted with precision using PLA+ materials. Every component was carefully printed in PLA+, except for the fins and nose cone, where support structures were used to ensure stability. Notably, the nose cone only made contact with the build plate during printing. As seen in the accompanying image, the ejection charge had a profound effect on the PLA material. However, despite this setback, the rocket remains an enjoyable plaything, albeit one that could benefit from a few modifications. Specifically, attaching a tin can cut to size within the body tube would significantly improve its functionality. In terms of printing parameters, I employed a bed temperature of 60°C and a nozzle temperature of 205°C. The tree supports used for the fins proved to be highly effective, providing the necessary structural integrity during flight.
