Flip Flop or Tumbling Blocks is a classic folk toy made up of blocks of wood held together by strings or ribbons. This traditional toy, also known as Jacob's Ladder, has its roots in the early days of American history, dating back to Pilgrim times. You can now bring this timeless toy into your own home with 3D printing technology. No assembly required, making it a breeze to set up and play. The blocks stand upright from the start, allowing for endless fun and creativity. Want to make it even longer? Simply print additional sections to extend the toy. The more you play with Tumbling Blocks, the better it works! Experiment with your printing settings and adjust the "thingOne" and "thingTwo" pieces until they move freely. For a smooth experience, reduce the extruder multiplier to around 87% (as demonstrated in this print) and use zero percent infill. After printing, carefully cut the small supports connecting each block, then gently swing them back and forth, working your way through the entire piece. With a little patience and practice, you'll have a fully functional Tumbling Blocks toy that's ready for action!
