Flip Flop Toy (Print & Play)

Flip Flop or tumbling blocks is a folk toy made up of wooden blocks tied together by strings or ribbons. This classic toy, also known as Jacob's Ladder, has been around since the early days of American settlers. You can now 3D print your own Flip Flop with ease. No assembly required. The printed blocks stand upright on their own. Simply add more sections to make it longer and enjoy playing with it. The more you play with Flip Flop, the better it works. Experiment with different printing settings and adjust the "thingOne" and "thingTwo" pieces until your prints move freely. To make the hinges work smoothly, reduce the extruder multiplier to 87% as I did on this print. Use a 0% infill setting for best results. After printing, carefully cut the small supports that connect each block to its neighbor. Next, gently swing back and forth to loosen up the hinges, working your way through the entire piece.
