Pistols crafted in the Balkans stood out with their slender elongated handles featuring a distinctive knob-like "apple" shape. In contrast, the grips of Turkish firearms were more rounded and resembled "apples". Produced in the Ottoman Empire and the Balkans between the XVII and XIX centuries, these pistols were made from steel and wood. They showcased exceptional craftsmanship through techniques like embossing, inlay, and filigree. Sporting a 17mm caliber and measuring 45.5cm in length overall, with a 30.5cm barrel, these pistols weighed approximately 2.4kg.
